Editorial & Research Standards

About This Page

konect2one is built on one idea: lead yourself first. These standards cover the learning resources shared by the konect2one group of companies ("konect2one", "we", "us" or "our"). In this page, "Content" means everything konect2one shares to help you grow, including eBooks, journals, breathing guides and other downloads, workshops and Brain Bites sessions, coaching, weekly insights and our newsletter.

This page explains how we create, check and care for the Content, so you can trust it before you bring it into your own small moments. Read it with our [Terms of Use] and [Privacy Policy]. If this page conflicts with either of them, the Terms of Use govern.

By using the Content, you confirm you've read and understood these standards.

2. Grounded in Research, Not Claiming It

Our resets, anchors and reflection tools draw on established research in:

  • psychophysiology and how the body responds to stress
  • emotional regulation
  • attention, focus and learning
  • mindfulness, breath work and reflective practice

We take what's well established and put it into plain words you can use in the middle of a busy day.

konect2one does not:

  • publish original scientific research;
  • present itself as a research institution, university or accredited body;
  • run clinical trials or collect data from you for research; or
  • make medical, psychological or therapeutic claims about the Content.

When we mention research, it's there for context. A reference to a study or framework doesn't mean its authors, publishers or institutions endorse konect2one.

3. Coaching and Learning, Not Treatment

Everything we share is for learning and personal growth, and none of it is clinical. Our coaching, workshops and guides help you build Lead Yourself First perspective and make calm, clear choices when things get hard.

The Content is general information. It isn't medical, psychological, legal, financial or other professional advice, and it doesn't replace:

  • therapy or counselling;
  • medical assessment or treatment;
  • diagnostic services; or
  • crisis or emergency care.

Coaching with konect2one isn't therapy. Using the Content doesn't create a doctor-patient, therapist-client or any other professional relationship between you and konect2one or any coach or facilitator. Some tools, like box breathing, affect how your body feels. Check with a health professional first if you have a medical or mental health condition, are pregnant, or aren't sure a practice is right for you. If a practice brings on pain, dizziness or distress, stop.

If you're carrying distress that won't lift, please reach out to a qualified professional. In an emergency, call 9-1-1 or go to your nearest emergency department. In Canada, you can call or text 9-8-8 for suicide crisis support, 24 hours a day. Outside Canada, contact your local emergency services.

4. How We Speak

We want our words to feel like a steady anchor, not a sales pitch. So, we stay away from:

  • guarantees or promised outcomes;
  • urgency, pressure or fear-based messaging;
  • hype, or promises of overnight change;
  • labels that diagnose or pathologize; and
  • testimonials presented as typical results.

Growth is personal, and it happens in small moments over time. Your results will depend on you and your situation, and we don't promise any particular outcome.

That goes double for our business and side-income guides. They share ideas and experience. They aren't financial advice, and we make no promise about what you'll earn.

Our marketing follows these same standards and is meant to comply with applicable advertising and consumer protection laws.

5. Where Our Ideas Come From

When we draw on research or well-known frameworks, we:

  • favour recognized institutions and peer-reviewed sources;
  • don't cherry-pick findings or stretch what they say;
  • keep things simple without dumbing them down; and
  • credit authors and sources and respect copyright and licence terms.

We cite sources so you can see where an idea came from, not to make ourselves sound more important.

Some Content links to other websites or resources. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their accuracy, availability or privacy practices. A link isn't an endorsement.

6. Reviews, Updates and Limits

We come back to our Content from time to time to:

  • make it clearer;
  • tighten the wording;
  • reflect what the field has learned; and
  • keep it useful.

We update with care. We don't rewrite anything to chase a trend, create urgency or push a product.

We work to keep the Content accurate and current, but research moves on and mistakes happen. The Content is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, konect2one and its affiliates, directors, staff, coaches and facilitators aren't liable for any loss or harm arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Content. Nothing on this page limits any rights you have that can't be excluded under applicable law.

Spotted an error? Let us know at the address below and we'll look into it. We may update these standards too, and the date at the top of this page shows when they last changed.

7. Why This Matters

When one person leads themselves first, everyone around them feels the difference. We think the same is true of how we publish.

Clear standards protect the people who learn with us and keep our coaching honest. They also earn the trust of the leaders, teams, educators and organizations we work alongside. That's why we hold ourselves to them, every time we share something new.
